Ojodu LCDA Council Boss Distributes 200 GCE Forms To Students, And Reward Dutiful Teachers With Cash Award To Boost Their Morale For Effectiveness

 



Today at a noteworthy event Organised to encourage students and boost the morale of dutiful teachers, for effectiveness and efficiency, at the Council Secretariat Hall, Oke-ira, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, exhibited a strong commitment to education and empowerment. He distributed 200 free GCE forms and awarded bursaries to deserving students. Hon. Odunmbaku emphasized the pivotal role of education in fostering progress and development, stating that empowering the youth is crucial for a nation's future.

The Chairman highlighted various educational initiatives, such as yearly distribution of 200 JAMB forms, provision of exercise books, welfare packages, and prizes for exceptional teachers. Additionally, the LCDA provided WASH facilities in schools through partnerships, upgraded the ICT Center, and offered free shuttle buses and coaching sessions for GCE and JAMB candidates.

Hon. Odunmbaku outlined future plans, including school rebuilding, school adoption and upgrade, and solar PV installations. These initiatives align with the HEYS Mission and the broader THEMES agenda set by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The Chairman urged beneficiaries to make the most of these opportunities and cautioned against engaging in social vices. The event also featured testimonials from beneficiaries and the presentation of cash awards to outstanding teachers. 

The event was graced by dignitaries from the community, stakeholders from party and education sector in the state.

WHO IS KAFILAT OGBARA

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State. She attended Adrao International School in Victoria Island and Federal Home Science PSchool Ikoyi, Lagos respectively.
