Celebrating Community Spirit and Health: Ikosi Isheri LCDA Youth Appreciation Walk for Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's 50th Golden Jubilee















In anticipation of the forthcoming 50th Golden Jubilee celebration of Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada on December 28, 2023, the APC Ikosi Isheri youths orchestrated a remarkable Youth Appreciation Walk. This event, organized to honor the Mayoress, garnered widespread community support and participation.

Participants from diverse groups, including NYCN Ikosi Isheri, community youth, religious youth, and numerous well-wishers, gathered to express their appreciation. The walk, a demonstration of solidarity and communal celebration, was emblematic of the community's respect for Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada.


The presence of esteemed dignitaries elevated the occasion, with the Deputy Mayor of the LCDA, Hon Olayinka Ogunleye, leading other Executive members. Hon Yunusa Salami, the leader of the legislative arms, guided fellow Legislative members in showing their support. The Convener of the Walk, Dr Seriki Muritala, who also serves as the State Youth leader of APC Lagos State, attended the event in the company of The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth, HON Damilare Orimoloye.

Notably, the NYCN Ikosi Isheri local chapters took a moment during the event to present an award of honor, acknowledging the Mayoress's outstanding contributions to the community. This gesture further emphasized the deep appreciation and recognition of Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's dedicated service.

The Unity Walk transcended celebratory activities to encompass essential health initiatives. Attendees had access to hepatitis screening, sugar level checks, HIV screening, free eye screening, distribution of glasses, blood pressure checks, and the provision of free medications. This holistic approach to community well-being underscored the commitment to the health and welfare of the community members.

In summary, the Ikosi Isheri LCDA Youth Appreciation Walk served as a prelude to the grand celebration of Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's 50th Golden Jubilee, combining community spirit, recognition of leadership, and a commitment to the well-being of all participants.

Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Distributes Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu's Food Palliatives to Ikosi Isheri Residents

In a heartening display of solidarity and support, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu's food palliatives were distributed to the residents of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) today. The distribution, orchestrated by the Mayoress and her team, exemplifies the Lagos State Government's dedication to alleviating the challenges faced by its citizens during these unprecedented times. WHO IS KAFILAT OGBARA

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State. She attended Adrao International School in Victoria Island and Federal Home Science PSchool Ikoyi, Lagos respectively.
