  ….Sponsor of the bill, Senator Tokunbo Abiru Presents Lead Debate The  Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA (Lagos East), today led the debate on a bill for an Act to amend the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Act 2007, as the Nigerian Senate passed the critical amendment bill for second reading. The bill was read for the first time in the  Senate on Tuesday 30th January, 2024. Senator Abiru, a retired bank Chief Executive, sponsored the bill, and forty-one (41) committee members of the Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions co-sponsored the bill.   In his debate, Abiru submitted that the amendments were proposed to further empower the apex bank to deliver on its principal mandates in line with section 2 of the Act. Senator Tokunbo Abiru Shares 150 Bags of 50kg Rice To Residents of Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu, Ikosi-Isheri Affected by 2023 Flood

In fulfilment of his promise to provide succour to residents of Kosofe, Ikosi-Isheri and Agboyi-Ketu whose communities were ravaged by flood last year, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has distributed 150 bags of 50kg rice to the affected constituents.  The affected communities where the rice were shared include: Odo-Ogun, Ajegunle, Owode-Elede, Osho-Ogun, Agboyi-town, all under Agboyi- Ketu LCDA. The Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, elevated her Monthly distribution of Free Food Palliative to the next level in the February 2024 edition of the program. Over 6000 residents of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, beneficiaries of the February edition of the food Palliative distribution, were pleasantly surprised when the Mayoress announced that the food Palliatives would be accompanied by a Cash token to support their respective households during these challenging times. Ojodu Lcda Council Boss Distributes Bags Of Free Food Palliatives To The Residents

    The administration of Hon Segun Odunmbaku today carried out a mega food bank programme to share palliatives to residents across the six wards of Ojodu LCDA as part of it's welfare and economic relief initiative.  Food items were shared to residents across all six wards with special emphasis on the less privileged and vulnerable people by the Mayor and his team who physically presented the food items. Hon Segun Odunmbaku promised to continue to provide palliatives and amenities to ameliorate the conditions of the people of Ojodu LCDA as his administration would continue to allocate resources for people oriented policies.   Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada was born into the blessed family of the late Alhaji Olatunji Raheem Bada and the late Chief Mrs. Afolakemi Bada (JP) in Odogbolu, Ogun State, on December 28th, 1973. She attended Muslim Primary School in Odogbolu, followed by Odogbolu Grammar School, and completed her education at Ajao Estate High School in Anthony Village, Lagos. She pursued her diploma in Marketing at Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, and later earned her B.Sc. honors in Geography and Planning from Lagos State University, Ojo. Additionally, she obtained a PGD in Social Work in 2012/2013 and later pursued a Master's in Social Work in 2017/2018.
