Residents commend the Mayoress for including a cash token in the February 2024 edition of the monthly free food palliative distribution
The Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, elevated her Monthly distribution of Free Food Palliative to the next level in the February 2024 edition of the program.
Over 6000 residents of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, beneficiaries of the February edition of the food Palliative distribution, were pleasantly surprised when the Mayoress announced that the food Palliatives would be accompanied by a Cash token to support their respective households during these challenging times.
The event, held at Senator Adebayo Osinowo Hall, Ikosi Isheri LCDA Council Secretariat, saw the presence of several stakeholders from the Council and the Community.
During the program, the Mayoress emphasized the importance of the initiative aimed at alleviating the burden of food insecurity faced by many communities nationwide.
In addition to the food palliative, cash tokens were also distributed to empower and support families and individuals facing financial hardships.
The Mayoress informed the beneficiaries that the fund used for provision of the welfare packages in the event, and several other projects done by this administration, was provided by the federal government of Nigeria led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) through the Governor of Lagos state. She therefore enjoined the Members of the community to be patient with the government in this trying time.
She reiterated her commitment to prioritizing the welfare of residents and ensuring that no member of the community is left behind.
The Mayoress highlighted the administration's ongoing efforts in the welfare sector, including previous initiatives such as welfare packages during festive periods and cash donations to indigent members of the community.
Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada reassured residents of her government's steadfast commitment to their well-being. Despite economic challenges resulting from the removal of fuel subsidies, she pledged to continue exploring innovative ways to support the community and ensure its resilience in the face of adversity.
The Mayoress emphasized the importance of unity and support within the community and encouraged residents to continue uplifting and standing united as they strive for a brighter future for Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
Residents expressed appreciation for the ongoing support and reaffirmed their trust in Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's leadership.
