Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA joins Hon Femi Saheed as he inspect 3 roads he earmarked for construction in Ward B Ikosi Isheri LCDA


 In a continued effort to complement the commendable work of the people's mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Hon Femi Saheed, the Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency II, today 6th of April 2024 conducted an inspection of three roads in Ward B of the Ikosi Isheri LCDA earmarked for construction. 

The roads inspected were Omoniyi Street, Unity Close, and Ayo Adekoya Close, all of which are set to undergo construction and rehabilitation facilitated by the office of Hon Saheed.

During the visit, the lawmaker was accompanied to the site by the Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, a team of engineers from Lagos State ministry of works and Infrastructural Development, APC Lagos State Youth Leader Dr Seriki Muritala, and other community leaders who closely examined the current state of the roads and identified the necessary interventions required to improve the infrastructure in the area.

Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Hon Saheed expressed his delight in being able to contribute to the ongoing development efforts led by the people's mayoress, Princess Bada.

"I am proud to be a part of this collaborative effort to transform the infrastructure in Ikosi Isheri LCDA. The people's mayoress, Princess Bada, has been a driving force behind these initiatives, and I am honored to complement her work by facilitating the construction and rehabilitation of these roads," Saheed said.

He further revealed that this project is part of a broader initiative undertaken by his office, which has already seen the completion of similar road projects in Ward F, including Bisi Adelesi Street, Irepodun Street, Oluwaseun Street, Ijero Street, and Celestial Avenue.

"Our commitment to the people of Kosofe Constituency II is unwavering. We have been working tirelessly to identify and address the infrastructural needs of our communities, and these road projects are just the beginning," he added.

The inspection tour also includes a visit to Mutairu Street and Onibeju Street in Ward B, which had already been approved by the Mayoress, and awaiting construction. The residents of the area expressed their gratitude for the ongoing efforts to improve the road network in their community.

"We are thrilled to see the government taking such a keen interest in the development of our area. The roads have been a major challenge for us, and we are grateful to Hon Saheed and the people's mayoress for their commitment to addressing this issue," said Mrs. Folake Adebayo, a local resident.

As the inspection came to a close, the people of Ikosi Isheri LCDA eagerly anticipated the commencement of the road construction and rehabilitation projects, confident that the collaborative efforts of Hon Femi Saheed and the people's mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, will continue to drive the much-needed infrastructural transformation in their community.

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State.
