Mayoress Hosts Ikosi Isheri Senior Citizens for Year 2024 Game Day Celebration

 





In a heartwarming display of community spirit and appreciation, the Senior Citizens of Ikosi-isheri LCDA, Ikosi Ketu, Nigeria, came together in jubilation for the much-anticipated Y2024 Game Day. Hosted under the auspices of the esteemed Mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the event proved to be a testament to the vitality and importance of the elder members of society.

In her poignant welcome address, Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada underscored the indispensable roles and significance of the Senior Citizens within the community fabric. With unwavering conviction, she expressed that they deserve not just respect, but enduring care and boundless happiness.

The day unfolded with a plethora of activities designed to foster camaraderie, enjoyment, and holistic well-being. From classic board games like Ludo, Ayo Olopon, Chess, and Draft, to spirited rounds of table tennis, there was something to engage every participant. The spirit of competition mingled seamlessly with the joy of reconnecting with old friends and forging new bonds.

However, the event was not merely about recreation; it also prioritized health and wellness. Comprehensive medical check-ups were provided, ensuring that the elders received the attention and care they rightfully deserve. This emphasis on holistic health reflects the community's commitment to the well-being of all its members.

The ambiance was electric as the Senior Citizens showcased their talents in a lively dancing competition, eliciting cheers and applause from the gathered crowd. It was a celebration of life, vitality, and the enduring spirit of unity that binds the community together.

Of course, no celebration is complete without delicious food and refreshing drinks. Culinary delights from the region delighted the taste buds, further enhancing the sense of conviviality and shared joy.

  Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara was born to Alhaji and Alhaja M. Ade. Kasumu’s family in Aiyepe Ogun State. She attended Adrao International School in Victoria Island and Federal Home Science PSchool Ikoyi, Lagos respectively. Her Secondary School Education was at Federal Government Girls College Langtang, Plateau State. A graduate of English Language and Literature from the University of Lagos, she also acquired her Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomacy and another Masters Degree in Public Administration all from the University of Lagos. Who's The Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada

  Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada was born into the blessed family of the late Alhaji Olatunji Raheem Bada and the late Chief Mrs. Afolakemi Bada (JP) in Odogbolu, Ogun State, on December 28th, 1973. She attended Muslim Primary School in Odogbolu, followed by Odogbolu Grammar School, and completed her education at Ajao Estate High School in Anthony Village, Lagos. She pursued her diploma in Marketing at Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, and later earned her B.Sc. honors in Geography and Planning from Lagos State University, Ojo. Additionally, she obtained a PGD in Social Work in 2012/2013 and later pursued a Master's in Social Work in 2017/2018.
