Ogunlewe Marks Three Years of Transformative Achievements with Week-Long Project Commissioning Across Kosofe LGA

 

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, celebrated his third year in office with a series of impactful events, highlighting significant advancements in infrastructure, education, and community welfare. The community came together to express their gratitude and appreciation for these milestones. Below is a comprehensive report of the week-long project commissioning:

Monday: Boreholes Commissioning and Stakeholders' Meeting

The week began with the commissioning of 10 boreholes across 7 wards, a project aimed at improving access to clean water for the residents of Kosofe. Legislative members were present at each location, highlighting the importance of these facilities in enhancing public health and well-being.

At the media parley and stakeholders' meeting that followed, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe detailed his administration's accomplishments over the past three years. "Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to ensuring every resident of Kosofe has this basic necessity," he stated. Community leaders and media representatives praised the Chairman's focus on essential services, with many offering prayers for continued success and good health.

Tuesday: Road Commissioning

Tuesday's activities focused on the unveiling of several newly completed roads. Among the commissioned roads were Niyi Ogunleye Street in Ojota; Alade, Atiba Oshborne, Abi, and Odugbesan Streets in Mende; and Francis Eze Nwosu Street in Ogudu GRA.

Residents were effusive in their praise. Mrs. Funmi Adeyemi of Ojota remarked, "These roads have drastically reduced traffic congestion and improved our daily commute. It's a significant relief for all of us. God bless the Chairman for his tireless efforts."

Mr. John Olagunju of Mende added, "The new roads have made our area more accessible and have already boosted local businesses. We pray for the Chairman's continued success and good health."

Wednesday: Transformers Distribution and Road Commissioning

On Wednesday, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon oversaw the distribution of 8 new transformers to various communities. This initiative aims to stabilize electricity supply and support local businesses. Later in the day, roads at Mudi Lane, Alade Lawal, and Deji Odunuga Streets in Anthony were commissioned.

Mr. Tunde Adebayo, a business owner in Anthony, expressed his gratitude: "With stable electricity and better roads, our businesses can thrive. The local economy will surely benefit from these improvements. We are deeply grateful and pray for continued blessings on our leaders."

Ms. Patricia Nwosu, a resident of Ogudu, said, "Stable electricity means I can keep my shop open longer and preserve goods better. It's a game-changer for us. May God bless our Chairman abundantly."

Thursday: Educational Infrastructure Development

Thursday was dedicated to education, with the commissioning of a fully equipped storey building featuring 10 classrooms and offices at Mosafejo Primary School in Oworonsoki. Hon. Dayo Alebiosu, Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, officiated the event.

Mrs. Aisha Ibrahim, a teacher at the school, remarked, "This new building provides a conducive learning environment for our pupils. It's a significant upgrade that will positively impact their education. May God continue to guide and bless our Chairman for his visionary leadership."

Mr. Samuel Okonkwo, a parent, shared his appreciation: "Our children now have a better environment to learn and grow. This will have a lasting impact on their future. We are thankful for the Chairman's commitment to education and pray for his continued success."

Friday: Grand Finale and Road Launching

The week concluded with a grand finale on Friday, marked by the launching of 11 new roads across Kosofe. The event was graced by Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth, and Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert, Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Rural Development. Both dignitaries commended Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe for his visionary leadership and dedication to improving Kosofe.

In his speech, the Chairman emphasized, "Our goal has always been to fulfill our promises and enhance the quality of life for our residents. These projects are a testament to our unwavering commitment."

Mr. Kayode Bamidele, a resident, voiced his appreciation: "These new roads have transformed our community. We are grateful for the Chairman's hard work and pray for his continued success and blessings."

Mrs. Janet Olorunfemi, another resident, added, "The improvements we've seen in our community over the past three years are remarkable. We pray for the Chairman's health and strength to continue this great work."

The commemoration of  3 years of Unprecedented Achievements was a resounding success, highlighting the administration's dedication to fulfilling promises and improving life for Kosofe residents. From infrastructure to education, the projects commissioned this week underscore the significant strides made under Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe's leadership, which he promised to do even more in his second term
