No Amount of Blackmailing Can Stop Us from Extending Dividends of Democracy to Our People, Mayoress Warns Hon Kafilat Ogbara and Her Cohorts

Date: August 3, 2024

It has come to our attention that a doctored video of an interview granted by our esteemed Executive Chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, on August 1, 2024, has been circulated on social media. This malicious act has been traced to MHR Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, who owes her position in the Federal House of Representatives to the tireless efforts and unwavering support of the Mayoress.

We vehemently condemn this act of blackmail and character assassination. It is disheartening to witness such ingratitude from someone who was meticulously packaged and supported by the Mayoress for a position she did not merit, given her novice status in the APC and her only prior political office experience being a member of the Audit Services Commission.

The doctored video, spread by Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, showcases her amateur background in media manipulation. The video was quickly made viral, reminiscent of her usual tactics to undermine the Mayoress during the planning of successful events. Most egregiously, she posted the doctored video on five different NASS assembly members' platforms, with the sole intent to tarnish the image of the Mayoress.

This deliberate and unethical behavior is not just a betrayal to Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada but a disservice to the principles and values of our great party, the APC. As Proverbs 6:16-19 states, "There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community." Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara's actions are a clear manifestation of this warning.

Let it be known that Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada is a project of divine providence. Her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the development of Ikosi Isheri LCDA and the well-being of its residents cannot be overshadowed by such malicious attempts. The Mayoress stands as a beacon of hope, resilience, and integrity, and no amount of doctored videos or slanderous campaigns can alter this truth.

We call on all well-meaning members of our great party and the public to disregard the doctored video and any negative narratives being circulated. We urge patience and continued support for our leaders, including President Tinubu, as we navigate these challenging times.

Finally, we advise Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara to reflect on her actions and remember the support and opportunities she has received from the Mayoress. Ingratitude and betrayal are paths to self-destruction. Mayoress Bada sternly warns Alhaja Ogbara and her cohorts to desist from further blackmail and character assassination attempts.

Together, we stand united, and together, we will continue to build a greater Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
