Princess Samiat Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the community during challenging times. At the distribution of essential food palliatives at Senator Bayo Oshinowo Hall, she emphasized her dedication to the well-being of residents, stating, "My heart remains with the people of Ikosi-Isheri, and since the inception of this administration, we have prioritized the welfare of our people."

Princess Samiat Bada explained that her administration’s agenda has always included the distribution of food items, recognizing the importance of stomach infrastructure alongside road development, education, and healthcare initiatives. "We are not only focusing on building physical structures but also on nourishing our people. This is as important as any other infrastructure," she said.

She ensured that no one would be left behind, highlighting the community’s orderly approach to receiving aid, thanks to effective communication and distribution methods. The Mayoress also mentioned that the food distribution program has evolved to provide a more balanced diet, moving from the usual garri, rice, and beans to more nutritious items such as eggs and yam. "We have made adjustments to meet the community’s nutritional needs, knowing that many residents have gone without basic protein sources like eggs for too long," she added.
